What happpens if my Ceremony
becomes a Soul Retrieval or Exorcism

From time to time, it can happen that Rain Queen Mother's Spirits and the Sacred Plant Medicine instruct her that the client is in need of a Soul Retrieval or Exorcism. When this happens it means that, Rain Queen Mother's 'BIG' Healing Spirits will send her very, very deep into the underworld in order to retrieve the Soul of the Client. At this point the feeling that comes over her is indescribable and to say that it feels like pure hell is an understatement.

As an highly empathic healer, Rain Queen Mother is placed in a very dangerous spiritual position because, like the Chod Puja in Tibetan Buddhism she is offering her own self to be spiritually attacked instead of her client; by the powerful demons, witches or other kinds of dark entities that are holding them hostage (which incidentally regular people only believe exist in movies or children's books like Harry Potter).

If this happens, Rain Queen Mother will try to inform the client before hand, and she will let you know that this is what has to be done. Please note that the term 'Exorcism' is used here to mean the removal of dark spirits that are possessing the client, rather than the removal of dark spirits the client is possessed by. The term Soul Retrieval is also being used here to indicate that a journey has to made deep into the underworld - normally a place of extreme darkness where a person's Soul retreats to because of some kind of extreme trauma that they have experienced in their lives.

Although Rain Queen Mother understands that many people, having been raised in the modern world, are unaware of the just how real the spirits are that a Deity Healer or Shaman has to deal with; it is therefore very important for the client to be aware that her Soul Retrieval and Exorcism work is extremely difficult and can take her out for several days afterwards. There is nothing worse than doing a Soul Retrieval or an Exorcism for a client who does not appreciate it, or worse still the client does not want to recognise the sacrifice that the healer is making on their behalf. Normally during the Retrieval procedure Rain Queen Mother will have to go to the back or the front of the Sanctuary, as a matter of protocol. The client themselves is sometimes completely unaware of what is being removed. Rain Queen Mother is not allowed to face the client and the client is also not allowed to face her during the procedure lest the forces jump back into the client. As such, Rain Queen Mother will retreat to the front or the back of the Sanctuary where she will be forced to accept the client's Karma and then enter into a dangerous spirit battle with the demons or dark spirits on behalf of that client. Dark spirits or demons, normally enter a persons life because of years of taking drugs, sexual abuse, years of exposure to unknown occult forces or years of taking part in the other 14 non virtues described in this site... This fight can go on for hours. The fight is over when Rain Queen Mother has freed her client's Soul from the grip of these dark entities and their spirit and Soul is retrieved. After such a procedure is performed, it is good protocol and gracious for the client to reach out and say thank you to the Spirits, the Plant Medicine and the Healer in recognition of the huge sacrifice that has just been made on their behalf.

Please note also that Rain Queen Mother has to perform several expensive purification Ceremonies after she has been through a Soul Retrieval or Exorcism Ceremony. This is one of the main reasons why the client is asked to pay a higher fee for a 'Soul Retrieval' or Exorcism instead of just an ordinary Ceremony. In Indigenous societies it can be considered to be a blessing to need to have a Soul Retrieval as they say in countries with mosquitoes, they only bite humans with sweet blood. The darker spirits (N.B. this is not always the case however) like to feed on Souls that have a lot of light.
